The Pembroke & Co. mobile app is now available, giving our clients access to their reports, verified findings, location trends and comparative analysis directly from their phones. Built for busy QSR owners and operators, it brings the results of our loss prevention monitoring and operational excellence services into one place, making reports quick and easy to find, review and compare.
Over the years, our clients have consistently told us how valuable they find our reporting. But they’ve also raised a practical challenge: when you’re receiving reports covering multiple restaurants, keeping track of them all isn’t always easy.
Finding a particular refund investigation, case finding or speed of service report could mean searching through weeks of emails, even though our analysts had already completed the work and sent over the findings.
That feedback led us to developing our own client-facing software. We wanted to give clients one place to access every report, search for specific findings and compare how their locations were performing over time.
Now we’ve taken that a step further with the launch of the Pembroke & Co. mobile app, available on the Apple App Store, with an Android version coming shortly.
When we started developing our browser-based software, the aim wasn’t to create another complicated reporting platform.
Our clients are busy owners and operators, often responsible for dozens of restaurants. They need to find information quickly, whether they’re reviewing performance at the end of the month or following up on a particular incident at one of their locations.
We built the software around those exact needs.
Instead of searching through separate reports, clients can find everything in one system, filter by location or type of finding, and review trends over several months. They can compare locations, revisit previous investigations and keep track of which issues have been resolved. The mobile app brings almost all that functionality to a phone.
It’s fast, straightforward to navigate and designed to make it easy to move between reports, locations and comparisons without having to work through multiple systems.
For an operator visiting several restaurants in a day, that means being able to pull up a finding or check a location’s reporting history while they’re actually on-site.
The app brings together the reports and findings Pembroke produces across client locations, with tools to search, review and compare them.
Find reports quickly. Search by location, category, subcategory or date. Whether you’re looking for refunds, discounts, case findings or speed of service issues, the reports are available in one place.
Review how a location is trending. See how reported issues have changed over three, six, nine or twelve months, rather than having to compare individual reports manually.
Compare locations and review benchmarks. Use comparative analysis to see how restaurants are performing against one another and review broader benchmarks based on Pembroke’s investigated findings.
Keep track of reported issues. Revisit previous findings and check which issues have been resolved and which may still need attention.
Access reports while visiting locations. Open, review and share reports from your phone, whether you’re in a restaurant, travelling between locations or away from your desk.
The app also provides access to operational resources, including policies, procedures and templates.
All of this is designed to be quick and easy to use. Operators can move between locations, findings and reporting periods without needing specialist technical knowledge or spending time learning a complicated system.
There are plenty of systems that collect restaurant data and present it in dashboards. POS systems can show refunds, voids, discounts and other transactions, and reporting tools can compare those numbers across locations.
But there’s an important difference between seeing how many refunds a restaurant has processed and knowing how many of those refunds were actually problematic.
A conventional reporting system might show that Store X has more refunds than Store Y, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Store X has a bigger refund problem.
Our analysts investigate the underlying transactions, review the relevant camera footage and transaction records, and verify which refunds are problematic.
It’s possible that Store X has more refunds overall, but Store Y has more refunds that warrant attention. That’s the difference between presenting raw transaction data and reporting on verified findings.
Through our loss prevention monitoring services, we investigate what happened before reporting the results. The statistics and comparisons clients see through our software are based on those investigated findings, not simply on transactions that a system has flagged.
The app doesn’t carry out those investigations. It gives clients a faster way to access, review and compare the findings our analysts have already verified and reported.
We’ve previously discussed why QSR reporting needs to separate meaningful findings from unnecessary noise. The mobile app makes those findings easier to access and compare, without changing the investigative work behind them.
For a QSR group operating across multiple locations, comparative analysis can help identify differences in how individual restaurants are performing.
The National Restaurant Association’s restaurant operations research highlights the importance of benchmarking performance to identify cost differences and opportunities for operational improvement and the quality of the comparison is important.
A location with more transactions will often have more refunds, discounts or voids. A restaurant with a higher number of reported incidents isn’t automatically the one with the biggest operational problem.
Our software allows clients to compare locations using the findings our analysts have already investigated.
You can review which restaurants have recurring issues, see whether findings are increasing or decreasing over several months, and compare the types of problems being identified across your operation.
For example, if speed of service findings have been increasing at one location over the past six months, you can review the reports behind that trend. If another restaurant has fewer reported issues, you can compare the findings rather than relying on a single performance figure.
This is an important part of our operational excellence services. Monitoring individual incidents is useful, but tracking repeated findings over time can help operators identify problems that need to be addressed at the location level.
It’s also an extension of the trend-based monitoring work we already carry out for clients. The difference is that operators can now access those trends and comparisons directly from their phones.
One of the priorities throughout development was making the software easy to use.
Our clients shouldn’t need to spend time figuring out how to navigate a dashboard before they can find the report they’re looking for.
Whether you’re checking the latest findings at a particular restaurant, reviewing trends across several locations or looking back at an earlier investigation, the app is designed to get you to that information quickly, giving operators the convenience of mobile access alongside the more detailed viewing experience available on a larger screen.
Our loss prevention monitoring and operational excellence services are built around investigating what is happening across QSR locations, identifying genuine issues and providing verified reports that operators can act on.
The client-facing software was developed in response to years of client feedback about making those reports easier to access, organize and compare. The mobile app takes that same system and puts it at our clients’ fingertips.
While this article focuses on how QSR operators can use the Pembroke & Co. app, its applications extend beyond the restaurant industry. Clients in convenience retail and urgent care are also using the platform to access verified findings, monitor activity and review operational performance.
It’s currently available for iPhone through the Apple App Store, with the Android version coming shortly.

The app gives existing Pembroke clients access to their operational reports, verified findings, location trends and comparative analysis from their phones. Users can search for reports by location, category or date, review findings relating to refunds, discounts, speed of service and other operational issues, and keep track of previously reported problems.
The difference is in the information being reported. Many restaurant reporting tools display raw POS data or automatically flagged transactions. Pembroke’s reporting is based on findings that its analysts have investigated and verified. Instead of simply comparing how many refunds two restaurants processed, Pembroke can compare the problematic refunds its analysts actually identified.
The app makes it easier for QSR owners and operators to access findings generated through Pembroke’s loss prevention monitoring and operational excellence services. Clients can review investigated incidents, compare findings across locations, track recurring operational issues and check whether previously reported problems have been resolved.
Yes. The software allows clients to review comparative analysis and benchmarking, as well as location trends over three, six, nine or twelve months. These comparisons are based on Pembroke’s investigated findings rather than simply presenting raw transaction totals.
The app is designed exclusively for existing Pembroke & Co. clients. It is currently available on the Apple App Store for iPhone users, with an Android version planned for Google Play. Clients receive access through Pembroke.
